It Doesn’t Get Better Than This

Well, not when it comes to the perfect setting for live music. Tonight is the first night that the Billy Laird Jazz Combo is playing at Cup a Joe’s on Abram and Cooper in Arlington, Texas. In fact, I’m told it’s the first time this group of players, largely from UTA, have played together. These guys are still working things out as would be expected, but they’ve got some sweet playing. If you’re in the area on a Friday night make sure you stop by for their weekly 8-10pm set.

Combine that with a good cup of coffee in hand, nice mild 80 degree weather, a light wind and good friends and the night is near perfect.

Anytime you’re in town make sure you stop by. It looks like a venue that has some good promise, especially during the summer here.
